Paper & String & Castor & Pollux!

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

So many ampersands, so little time! We wanted to thank our neighbors at Paper & String for the lovely shout-out that they gave us a few weeks back. Their intrepid reporter Whitney Port (yes, Whitney Port!!!) very kindly declared her adoration for our Gary Graham duds and Castor & Pollux Maggie bracelets, among other things. We like that she is obsessed with all of our favorite West Village snack spots, too – we have a pretty bad One Lucky Duck habit here at the store and have been known to finish their Cacao Latte in seconds. SECONDS!!!

Big ups to Paper & String for its support of independent retailers and neighborhood businesses in NYC. Viva la West Village!

SEE: Wow.

Not much else to say but wow. French Vogue you do it right.

Touch: Hacienda Montaecristo and Mexico

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

This gorgeous necklace from Hacienda Montaecristo was featured in the best of the web guide that InStyle presented this month. We ran out of stock immediately but I am happy to say that they are now in the store – straight from Mexico. Speaking of Mexico, we are going next week for Thanksgiving. No turkey I’m imagining, but lots of tacos which is more than fine by me.
Not sure how much work or blogging will take place from the beach – hope you all have wonderful, happy holidays filled with friends and family.
Lots of love to you all.

Zoe Lister-Jones gives Castor and Pollux a little love as one of her favorite NYC boutiques on Refinery 29 in today’s NY Shopping section.

Zoe’s new movie Breaking Upwards comes out tomorrow. The NYTimes gave it the full page  treatment in this article in last Sunday’s Arts & Leisure!

Give the trailer a look and realize they made a feature film for $15,000.  That is the kind of can-do spirit that we love here at C&P.
